Connecting front USB ports

Hi,

Only my first build so probably a very simple question. My case has 2 front USB ports and there are 8 single pin connectors running from them labelled as:
1-D, 2-D, 1+5V, 2+5V, 1Ground, 2Ground, 1+D, 2+D.

Can't seem to find any info on which connector goes where on the motherboard

Very grateful for any help,

Dave.

Hello and welcome to PC Mech

You need the information on which connector goes where on the motherboard, coz if you do it wrong, you will fry them.
Since the order of the pins is not standarized (hence you have 8 single connectors), only the motherboard manual can provide you that information.

All I can tell you for sure is that all 4 "1-" connectors belong together, as do the other 4 "2-" connectors. Don't mix "1-" and "2-".

What motherboard do you have ?

Hi,

Its an ASUS A7V600-X - in the manual it lists the connections as +5V, P6-, P6+, GND, NC, P5-, P5+, +5V, GND,

Cheers
