Hi everyone, my niece has a canon bubblejet BJC255SP that is printing everything at half the paper size.
For example the final printout should be A4 portrait, but after printing, everything is squeezed into the top half of the A4 paper. For the troubleshooting, she has tried it out with MS Powerpoint and MS Word with the same results, so it can't be the application settings right? It should be the printer's setting. I have asked her to check the paper size, orientation and to print a test page from the printer's properties with the same results. Also tried shut down/bootup. She was using powerpoint to print her school project. The first page came out alright, but the problem started with the second printout. Is there anything I am overlooking? Thanks for any help. A friend had this same problem with his BJC4200. It is the setting. I can't remember exactly what the problem was now (this was at least a year ago that I fixed his), but I do remember that in the printer's control panel, there are 2 different color options. If you change cartridges (like to the photo color), you have to have it set on the right one or it only prints half of the page (which actually the whole picture is there, just squeezed down onto half the page). I also remember that if you go to the Windows printer stuff and print a test page from there, it will be fine.

I think it's the quality setting, i think ur using photoquality wich is at least half the size of what's on ur screen, i know this works when printing pictures.
that's all i can think of atm. |
