On the way to work this morning, a radio report said that the ACLU was filing suit to stop "Moments of Silence" at all federal institutions including the military. Moments of Silence smacks of "religion" and should be governed by the Separation of Church and State".
Now they don't want God in your mind at all. Terrorists come in many flavors. Destroy our country one way or another is their aim. Please, somebody tell me this is a report given in error. Carl |

Wow, I find that just wrong. Hope it's just an error.

Sorry Jade.
I heard it on the radio. I haven't seen it on the net. I really haven't searched, but I will and supply the link if found. Carl |

Carl,
I too hope this is an error. No respectable organization would propose such a thing during these trying times. Were this the case, yet another terrorist that needs to be exterminated like the virmin all terrorists are.

Regardless of any ruling, just defy it. I'd like to see some judge arrest an entire football stadium at a high school game, or arrest an entire Congress.
I don't cotton to any lib group hiding behind some twisted interpretation of the Constitution, then telling me what's right.

Perhaps the ACLU would be kind enough to point out the words "separation", "church" and "state" in the constitution to start with.

The ACLU has been incorrectly interpretting the 1st for a long time.

I don't see any mention of it on ACLU's site, though it wouldn't suprise me. It would definitely be a tremendous PR blunder for them.

Frankly, I find it hard to believe. The ACLU has purposely taken up unpopular causes in the past, but I think even this would be a bit much. This news story smacks of bull-sh!t. (not that I don't believe you heard it Carlgit. It's just there's been a lot of erroneous reporting this last week.)
