Same God ?

The following came from Tuscana in Italy and replaces their usual
tourism newsletter this week. A profound question. Do Muslims, Jews, Hindus,
Christians, and other religions worship different Gods ? I had thought not before last weeks horrible attack. Is the Muslims God proud of what was done in his name? I think not but they must believe so.

Subject: Toscana Newsletter September 11. 2001

Hello everyone,
towards such an enormous grief, may these words of our deep sense of solidarity
reach the whole populations involved into the sorrowful and tremendous tragedy
occurred in the United States of America. We all feel confused and distressed
by the events occurred and by what - but never again to happen - could still
happen.

How many times have we thought of God, or what else his name, as the Father of
all people? Which Father could ever order his child to give death to another
of his children? To kill somebody in the name of the Father is perhaps one of
the most aberrant fault.

People know that, but let's pray and hope that the world won't fall in the tragic deception of a religious war, or of an indiscriminate military-political reaction, which would involve other poor people, other civilians in other parts of the world.

There are no other words to be searched for; there is only the hope of a
peaceful world, what only is able to remove fear, and that is what people want. All the people of the world.

Wishing you all a serene September,

"La guerra è una pazzia bestialissima" (Leonardo da Vinci)

From a historic standpoint, it is very true.

Jesus was a jewish prophet, and in fact Judasim and Christianity share portions of their holy book.

Gabriel, an angel by the same name as that of Mary, came to Mohammed on the mountain. Mohammed was a merchant and influenced greatly by people of both religions.

It's not the god that's in disagreement, it's how to worship him. That's how I see it.
