IMHO, a national ID card is a terrible idea and should be discarded as fast as possible. It won't do anything to stop terrorists and it has the most potential for government abuse than any other proposal so far. |

Troy, agreed!
There have also been discussions here about the introduction (yet again) of the Australia card (ID card). We need considered responses not knee jerk reactions. The National ID card was firmly rejected by referendum in this country. We will count the cost of freedom, with ID cards we lose some of that freedom. |
