You are being watched...
Does anyone else feel like they have lost all of their privacy?

Depends on how you define "privacy". My truck has a GPS, so my employer knows everywhere I go, everytime I start the engine, and how fast I go. But that's not privacy, so to speak. Unless paying with cash, my bank and Uncle Sugar know every dime I spend. A little camera watches me as I go through an intersection, looking for a "red light runner". My sure-fire escape to privacy is in the john - but sometimes I feel like I'm being watched. Perhaps DLady has a camera in the wall.
As paranoid as I am, I'm with Lawman. I still feel a sense of privacy.

It definitely depends on what you define "privacy" as...
If privacy is to go about daily business without standing out, than you are pretty safe. If your life is full of eventful things or if you live on the "edge", eg. host a conspiracy theory site or mag or contribute to these forums...perhaps you may think twice about why your neighbour's house now has two black, window tinted saburbans in the driveway..."hey, where did all these birdhouses come from?". (especially if you have done your research) You really have to look at it like National Geographics...the predators take out the ones that stand out...or movies...you remember the ones that stand out... If you don't stand out...you don't have to worry about your privacy being taken away...cause nobody will notice you and care. This is called CONFORMITY. Blend in. It the only way to survive! THEY'RE EVERYWHERE! If you don't stand out, you will be like a walk-on in a movie...just part of the scenery of the person they are ACTUALLY following ;) If you enjoy the way your life is take the blue pill...if you really want to know what the matrix is about... QUESTION EVERYTHING |

If they really wanna watch me do a bit of html and talk to hpro on IRC, I have no objections.

I say you should do the folowing:
Pick up a copy of the complete works of Flavius Josephus for the insight into human history (I beleive every word he wrote) and copies of the Franklin Coverup by John Decamp, and one more, the Puzzle Palace by James Bamford. The last tells the story of the computer and why it is so powerfull yet so inexpensive to buy. |
