Using my favorite seach engine, I found:

Our goal: to understand protein folding, protein aggregation, and related diseases

What does Folding@Home do? Folding@Home is a distributed computing project which studies protein folding, misfolding, aggregation, and related diseases. We use novel computational methods and large scale distributed computing, to simulate timescales thousands to millions of times longer than previously achieved. This has allowed us to simulate folding for the first time, and to now direct our approach to examine folding related disease. Con't

Great to have you folding speeddude. Just be patient, it will finish, and hopefully you'll stay folding and you'll keep pumping out those WU's.

By the way, how are you folding? Graphical, text, as a service?

sorry 2 say, but i cant keep my comp up 24/7. but ill start folding on 2 other comps: another 2.8ghz northwood(24/7) and a p3 1gig(24/7) so a total of 3 comps. total of 6.6ghz w/o ocing and 7.2ghz with ocing. not too shabby.

Or, here's our team stat page. Don't worry if it doesn't show your WU and points right at the hour mark, sometimes it takes a bit longer.

The F@H stats update hourly around 20 minuets after the hour and you might show up on the PCMech EOC stats page within the hour

I didn't think so...but hey maybe you are right! I guess when you finish that one we can see!

**edit

If you have multiple team designations, you will see multiple records above. A given WU has a single username and team associated with it. This designation can not be changed for WUs that have already been turned in to your servers. You can change the team or username for future WUs in the config panel of the client.

**from the F@H page
