How hot does your CPU get while folding?
Mine reaches 49 degree C.
I am running a P4 3.0C at stock settings w/ hyperthreading. |

With the first comp in my sig running two instances, I usually hang at 52-54 C. That's with one stock intake fan and a dual fan PSU that helps with exhaust.

50-60c for me, on a 800mhz Duron with some rubbish heatsink and 80mm fan (I think) but then this is the middle of summer and it reached 25c here today.

Depends on the room temperature. Right now, this summer weather doesn't really allow me to fold without the temps really spiking.

well theyre not supposed to reach 60...i dont think its the prescotts fault. a 2.8 northwood folidng 2 cliients w/hyperthreading is 63c. probly cause the environment is hot.

Prescotts do run very hot with stock cooling and even with good after market air cooling they will still run hot when under a heavy load like running F@H. Mine did run over 65'C with stock cooling.
The ambient temp does play a major factor but still my room temps are around 30'C/86'F If a Northwood is running that hot then it's prolly the room temp or poor case ventilation. |

53-54 C
Motheboard: 44 C I'd be more interested in comparisons though. Cpu runs at 46 idle and gaming gets way over 54. |

Hmmm, probably the hottest chip here, my prescott 2.8 @ 3.6 folds two instances at 80C.

Red, that's borderline too hot, isn't it? Got some extra fans you could install?

she'll shutdown before she goes
Kov, had 6 case fans as well as an 80mm HSF, but have changed my cooling around a bit, now cool it with one intake, one exhaust.....I have dropped the voltage back slightly since summer is here, I have no problem running her at 80C.....if she burns up she burns up, I, however, trust intels thermal protection Sorry to drag this one back out of the graveyard, haven't been on much lately!
