My Gift To You
I remember somebody mentioning making an avatar or sig image for the members of the PCMech F@H team. Well, since I'm out of school for the summer and have a little free time, I decided to make a sig image. It's my first shot at this, so it's not the greatest, and I may make another one later on, but I still think it looks pretty good. Feel free to use it if you want.
http://forum.pcmech.com/attachment.php?s=&postid=720102 is the url (had to post it as an attachment because linking from webshots wasn't working, and Kram helped me sort that problem out). You can use the [img] [/img] VB code, or use HTML and use (img src="url here") using < in place of ( and > in place of ). If you're unsure on the VB code, see this page which should help you out. Enjoy. [EDIT] Changed URL to better, more dial-up friendly image. Last edited by bigandy; 06-20-2004 at 11:03 PM. |

That's pretty cool Andy!
Now if we could get our Team leader David14259 to possibly add it to our Stanford stats page or pass the torch off to one of the other team members *cough* Kov-Ice *cough* Just to remind folks to keep the sig lengths within reason.

Thanks for the compliments guys, I appreciate it.
But Force Flow did bring something to my attention just a minute ago, that the image loads a little too slowly on dial-up, so he's compressed the file size down a bit and sent it to me, and I will include that one along with this post. So if you would please use this one rather than the previous one, that would be great. And as far as using it for our logo, I'm all for it. And for some reason I'm doubting that Dave will be back anytime soon. That said, I would say that either you, or Kov-Ice should be be deemed our team leader. Seeing as both of you have helped out so many people with their folding questions. Last edited by bigandy; 06-20-2004 at 10:24 PM. |

Problem is we need to contact David in order for us to make any changes to our team page as well as change team leader.
http://vspx27.stanford.edu/cgi-bin/changeteam.pl I have just made an effort to contact David in hopes of either getting him to return to the team or turn the reins over. Edit- I just got word from David and he said the team was created by Scott_d and he had lost the password for the team and efforts were made to contact the Pande Group with no luck on re-covering or re-setting the password. 450x100, 22kb is acceptable for a sig if it's the only image in the sig. Looks nice, Andy.

I think this should become a sticky, then all new members can find it easily (or add it to the info need to know sticky). I would use it in my sig but I think it will be two long. Great work andy (and lil jimmie changing the colours).

David and I didn't chat in detail about what action was done, he just made it sound like a lost cause, I really don't know what we could do in order to clear this up besides start a new team, but we've worked to hard to start all over.
It looks like without the e-mail we don't have a chance http://forum.folding-community.org/v...90ffac48957907 |

I asked David to either come back aboard or if it was possible to turn over the team info and he replied that Scott_d lost the info and no I haven't tried to contact Scott_d as of yet.

You can try contacting him on AIM or something his details are at http://forum.pcmech.com/member.php?s...o&userid=12375 (sorry you probably already knew this).
Is its scott_d's email address thats used, because won't his email be in the database? If we get the email address used can't we then just get the username and password? Or don't I understand this propely? |

Thx! I just sent scott_d an e-mail asking him to help us in this matter. I even inclosed a link to this thread.
I don't use AIM so if anyone uses AIM and wants to drop him a quick message that would be helpful. Kov, to center the image use the center tag before and after without the quotes and clean out you in-box

Thx Scott for droping in and helping us out! Not sure why you stopped folding but we'd luv to have you back!
I think the team needs to have a vote on the team leader/s. Maybe have an e-mail account setup for the team captain/s to use and or pass along to the next captain/s in the future in case something like this comes up again. If you are in a hurry I suggest GLC as a temporary captain until the team decides who will be the new leader, if he doesn't mind. |

I will just hold tight as the leader, no problem for me....
If there is a url to where someone is hosting the sig or an icon that i could use for the team, lemme know so i can change that for ya while we decide on a new leader. |

I know Dok would prefer to have a staff member be the official point of contact, but for now just keep it going and make sure everyone knows who the key person is. The key person should be active in the Folding threads.

hmm...As far as I know there are only 3 staff members who are on the folding team, Dok who hasn't contributed a WU in over 3 weeks and Dr.Z who just started back folding a few weeks ago, I assume after his courses finished up for the summer break. Well I almost forgot about Byte who started a few months ago. So that kind of narrows it down.

Well, either Kov-Ice or lil Jimmie, who both seem to be very active in folding affairs.
