getting credit

i fold 2 graphical instances on a northwood and it works fine...no conflicts. they work on different WUs at the same tiem. but when i try this on a prescott, i try runing 1 version on 1 username, and its at 83%(thats right where i left off yesterday) and i just installed it on another username and its 83% folding the same unit. i installed it in the same folder, so they read off of the same work folder. my question is: will i get credit for both folds or only 1?

You will prolly only get credit for one, they need to be in different folders and have different machine id's.

k well ill try it out anyways... y do they have 2 have dif machine IDs? what does that mean?

btw i just installed it again on a dif folder and it seems 2 be working...is there any reason whenever i install 2 versions, one runs in the prescott version(***/400) and the other version runs in the northwood version(*****/10000)i think tinkers?

Most of the time when running 2 clients on a hyperthreading cpu you will get different work units.

In the pic I've attached you will see that Hellion1 & Hellion2 are running 2 different work units but are on the same 2.8C

Belles service 1 and Belles Service2 are running the same work unit on a 2.6C

the xxx/400 is a tinker on your prescott and the other is prolly a gromac
