Thanks Bigandy,
Just imagine how good things possibly would be these days if folding were around about 30 years ago. I'm willing to bet this would be a totally different world than we live in now. Technology RULZ!! By the way, Could you, Jimmie, or anyone else give me a "step by step" of how to use that logo as my sig? I saw the thread on it, and tried to figure it out, but I cant get it show up. Its an AWESOME logo and I MUST have it ![]() HTML drives me nuts (which is NOT a long drive)

LOL. Well, I went the HTML route. If you want to do that, here's what I did:
Code:
< img src=" http://forum.pcmech.com/attachment.php?s=&postid=720102 " > That's the link for the image I have in my sig. If you want the one that Lil' Jimmie is using, the URL to use is http://liljimmie.freeservers.com/ima...ue_f@h_sig.jpg - just copy and paste that in place of the URL in the HTML code I showed above. Just remember to keep the quotation marks there! And if you prefer the bronze image, like the one that Kov-Ice is using, the URL is: http://forum.pcmech.com/attachment.p...postid=720554. Andy, I hope you know that PCMech and my web space/bandwidth is not free.
To use the images in your sig you guys really need to provide your own storage to hot link to |

I realize that, and I did try Jimmie, unfortunately, the image would not come through. I guess the services did not allow it. I tried Webshots, and my own Yahoo Images account, however, neither would work. I got a lovely red x.
And unfortunately, I don't really have money to spend on a hosting service, so if you could recommend one to me that's free, I'd be more than willing to upload the image(s) there and link to them via that service. |

Well freeservers did allow hot linking when I first started using them but I don't think they allow it any more. I don't have any suggestions, but maybe someone will come along with a few.
I allow a few peeps to link images from my server already but they had asked or I offered it to them.

Well, I tried with a FreeWebs account, but again its not working for me. The pics will appear for a second while the page loads, then when the page has completed loading, it shows as a broken link. So I'm not sure. Feel free to try to link the images yourself from that site, but I'm thinking that FreeWebs may be another service that blocks the hot links.

Try Photobucket. Do not link to someone else's webspace without their permission.

THX for the suggestion G, photobucket looks like a great alternative for these guys. I even signed up for an account and will test the direct linking below.

Thanks for the Photobucket suggestion g. I've uploaded the 3 different images there, and anybody who wants to can link to them.
Here are the URL's for each image: Bronze: http://img78.photobucket.com/albums/...ze_fah_sig.jpg Dark Blue: http://img78.photobucket.com/albums/...ue_fah_sig.jpg Light Blue: http://img78.photobucket.com/albums/...ue_fah_sig.jpg Enjoy. |

to link to whatever page you want use the following {a href=http://page_you're_linking_to.com}{img src=http://pic_you're_hotlinking_to.com}{/a} I think, replace the {'s with <'s and the }'s with >'s
