Great news Enhanced!
I'm certainly trying to get people folding, but unfortunately, most of my friends aren't too into the idea. |

yes i know the feeling, a friend of mine has a Dell running a 2GHz P4 and he will not install folding at all! he is convinced that it will slow the pc down, i'm thinking abot showing him those movies. maybe that will change his mind.

speeddude, do you have them all networked? if so then install Folding on them and you can use EMIII to monitor them from one central computer like i do and many others.

Excellent!!! That should bump your numbers up ![]() I got word tonight that those 2 other boxes using my nick that were folding for another team have had the client.cfg file edited, so now they will fold for PCMech again. That will add another 4.8Ghz

Wish I had some friends with decent computers, or ones that weren't already painfully slow. Thinking about installking it on my Dad's eMac(G4 1GHz) since he leaves it on night and day as far as I know. Does folding fold when the computer is sleeping? If not then it might not be as helpful.
EDIT: Well it's installed on my dad's comp now. We can just see how well it does. Next time my friends come up here I may just slip it on their comps as a service and see if I get any complaints

no, as far as i know folding doesn't work when the computer is sleeping. but you can still install folding on the slower machines, just set it to work on Genome WU's. i have my moms old 466mhz celly running it!
every little bit helps. |

just added 2 more machines. not too sure on the speed but from what i understand, pretty slow, maybe. one is running win98 and they said it came over on the arch so....
and the other is running winXP so it must be somewhat newer. either way both will be running folding by tomorrow hopfully. |
