What exactly is the error? Does EMIII see it for a while then popup an error? A little more network info may help as well.

I have one client on a wireless lan that give me fits and I have yet to finger it out.

Forgive me if I don't reply soon I'm waiting for a bud to go cycling with in a few mins.

its not an error message, it just says error as the status. like there is no info about the folding client at all!

i'm on a small home network with 3 pcs. all hard wired, no wireless at all.

its not a real big deal, the pc is only 466mhz so it takes a long time to do anything but i'd still like to have it on EMIII.

It might be that the speed of the machine is not completing the steps/frames fast enough for EM and times out. The other alternative is to try FAHSTATS to monitor it. It may not be as nice of an interface as EM, but it gets the job done.

i got that FAHSTATS program and it does tell a little more info (how many points, type of WU, etc.) but still doesn't display the time left... i think its a problem with my network, i also can't print to the printer on that machine.
