There goes a huge chunk of our production . But I understand your situation, and we'll be waiting for you when you come back! Hopefully in the time being we can recruit some more folders to the team to help keep the WU's flowing in.

i see your problem with heat and such, but i'm sure you sitll use at least one pc for email or games or something, right? if not couldn't you just set the cpu usage a little lower to help keep heat down?

trainop, there's no doubt we'll miss your production. It is fortunate that Faulkner132 has stepped in to help fill some of the void. He'll be Top 10 on our team in a little over two weeks. In two months, he'll have passed me! *** (Way to Fold), Faulk! I'm sure everyone looks forward to your return this Fall when the two of you are cranking out WUs at that rate at the same time.

Ice Is way to hot here in the Caribbean side of the Island to do any serious folding. I am glad that faulkner his picking up the slack but until it cools down I don't dare to fold.

Yes, Faulkner has indeed been a needed boost to our team. Maybe we can get our production averages back on track, as they've been falling recently.

That should help out as well ComputerNut! Although we've managed to move up a bit in the standings, our production has still been down, hopefully these additions can help boost that.

what i don't understand is why so many people are not folding anymore. i mean if you don't like having to deal with the window or anything you can set it as a service and never even know its running! i think its just dumb for people to start folding then stop for no real reason!

come on guys, lets keep it going! its the pcmech team so lets get all of pcmech folding!!!!

I should probably start mine up again. I had been shutting my computer down a lot, so it wasn't helping the cause...I had also been having a lot of problems withrunning two at once. The one core just stopped functioning...

I just checked my standings at F@H and I'm ranked 52nd here. I have both of my computers running 24/7. My older one is running the graphical client and the new one uses the screensaver version. I had issues with the graphical client on the new machine. The graphical client works fine on the old one. For some reason on the new machine, when I would try to open programs, it wouldn't release clock cycles for the new programs. I've been running the screensaver version ever since. I know my totals aren't near what some of the others' are doing, but I'm trying! Honest!

My dad just joined the forums here at PCMech, and he's been running the screensaver version of F@H for about a month now. I need to get him to join the team. He's doing it regardless, he might as well be adding to our total.

You should have him add your user-name to his client and wrap up some extra WUs. Also, I recommend the Text Console, esp. under XP.

I hope some cooler weather comes your way, soon! I put up a few processors for PCM, when I read this. I don't want to switch any of mine over from Anandtech, but I'll add a few more, when they become available.

OK Guys, I fired up 9 boxes today. Should be sending in results in a couple of days. After all it was not the heat that was giving me troubles but leaking capacitors on 5 of my Epox 8kha+ motherboars. Epox replaced the capacitors and we are back in business.
