Boinc
I was just curious how many people are switching to Boinc now that it is becoming more usuable.
I am currently running two projects the Climate Prediction and Seti@home II. I will drop Climate Prediction when I can join the Predictor@home project. (Predictor@home is like folding@home). I am on the team Die Mannschaft for both, unless Pcmech starts teams. Anyone else going to be using Boinc?

I have been doing boinc for a while now. They are having a lot of growing pains but it seems to be working pretty good now. PC Mech has a team that was moved over from the old SETI; there are only a couple of active members but people will probably switch when the old SETI ends.

Alright I joined up. I am stopping climate prediction for just seti for now. I am thinking of running Seti 25% CERN 25% and Prediction 50% when I get the chance.

4.08 is currently out but version 4.05 works great which you can get here.
http://setiweb.ssl.berkeley.edu/download.php you sign up at a project site. http://setiweb.ssl.berkeley.edu/create_account_form.php You will get an email with a URL and a user ID. You run Boinc Program and click to attach a project in the menu, you can then type in your details. Most of the preferences are done via the internet. you can figure it our from there though. |
