Well I know I have been here for a while and I havent been doing this because my laptop battery would get sucked in a little over an hour. I realized that my laptop is plugged into the socket 90% of the time so I decided the hell with it and started folding. My dad wont understand what the point to this is so I cannot install it into his computer (there goes another 2.4Ghz
). Well I am using my 2.8Ghz (No HT) laptop, hopefully itll help a bit.

i could be wrong, but i thought there was an option to shut folding down when you run on battery power.

You are right. In the version 5 client it will ask you if you want folding to pause when on battery power. I use that option on my laptop, and I love it. I don't have to manually shut it down, and then forget to turn it on when I'm back on AC power. If you've already done setup, you can put the -config flag in your shortcut, and it will allow you to set that option.
