Boinc
Hi,
Are there any people involved in BOINC based projects. I'm running Seti (again) and Climate Prediction. I must say that the BOINC client is straight forward and does its job quitte well, however the stats pages are very userunfriendly for large groups at the moment. I heard rumours that Folding@Home is one of the next projects to be transfered to the BOINC platform. Can somebody "confirm" this? PiC |

You mean Predictor@Home? http://boinc.berkeley.edu/
I wanted to know what other projects were out there besides Seti and Folding. BOINC is the perfect means to really distribute work for computing. Not only you can run one project but also 2 or more of your liking. I think BOINC will be one of the most revolutionary tools for Scientists. (for processing purposes that is) I also heard that IBM is starting BOINC like project. Here is a link http://www.planetary.org/news/2004/w...grid_1124.html Btw the Climate Prediction project is not very succesfull in my PC, it's starting over and over again. I don't know why, but I tend to investigate. PiC |
