update

Sorry about posting in the Info to Know thread, i guess i clicked the wrong link. i wanted it in David's big thread but i missed i guess. lol anyway i finnaly talked my school into letting me install folding on their machines. I have a total of 72 pcs right now (planning on more) with a total of 90+GHz! the machines range from PIII 500mhz up to a few AMD 2700+'s and i hope to get it on the 10 new P4 2.8's we now have.

as for my stats, the highest 24 hours points average i seen was over 800, i think it was 807 or something. i want to try and break the 1000 point barrier

Kov-Ice asked me these questions:
Q: Are the machines on 24-7?
A: as far as i know they are but some students shut them down at the end of class. i might be able to talk them into leaving them run if they do get shutdown, but i'll have to see what happens there. i do know that some of them do infact run 24/7 but i'm not 100% sure on them all.

Q: What happens this summer?
A: well, the points drop back down! the systems are shutdown for the summer for maintance, updates/upgrades, and simple because they are not used. i'm a senior this year and so i will not be going back next year to get them started again. i have some friends in lower grades that might get it going for me, but i would have to ask them. i did however install the program onto their "ghost" machines so unless they get all new pcs or wipe the ghost machines HDDs clean, next year it will be on all systems when they ghost the drive!

i wanted to create a "folding server" which would have a bunch of folders (one for each system) and have all folding work/files saved to that server. the systems would boot up, pull its files out of its own folder and start working, saving everything in one place. this would have made it easier to start/stop clients, update the console, watch with EMIII, etc. but i had no idea how to do that with using F@H as a service, and the school IT didn't really like the idea too much i don't think.

if anyone has any other questions, feel free to ask!
