Seti@home released new software

Hey all

Berkeley has released a new program called BOINC, it runs version 4.09 of Seti@home, as well as the capabilities of running future clients for different research projects. It's more customizable, and now uses openGL graphics. I noticed that it supports HT (I am processing two WU's now as we speak). If anyone's interested it trying it out, it's at http://setiweb.ssl.berkeley.edu/index.php

insert bad word here. Ok, I have an old account, with an email address that I no longer have access to. On the old system I could not change my email address. However, I had my username and password nice and secure. Now in order to use it, I have to activate my account on the new setup or create a new one. That is crap. Because when I went to activate my account, it sent an email to my old address that I can not check. (in short I will have to activate my old domain, which I still own, then setup my email address then try to activate my account)

I had to reregister mine, as I had created a new account last Sept. I don't think the account stats (ie: units completed) are transferreable anyways, as it is a completely different program. But, once I figured out how to use everything in BOINC, I do like it much better.
