yah, it kinda sucks when someone can take the credit for 400 clients paid for by some corporate account,

At least I built and paid for the boxes I'm running. And I've got the pissed off Wife to prove it!!

i used to talk to OCAMD a good bit a few years ago. he is/was the top guy in the world! he works for some company thats spread out all over the world and he had 90% of their machines running. he told me that every day he uploaded GIGS of data to the stanford servers!! totally insane!

Thank you. Finally got my quad up to where I want it, so my ppd should be joining the "big boys" too.

This is a great excuse to just build new computers.

Thanks! Setting up SMP really helped my performance. Hopefully I can get a quad going this summer and get SMP running on that too.

Congratulations, and welcome to the club.

That first one feels special.

One down, and many more to go hopefully. Keep folding.

Thank you all , for the kind words. I guess the next goal will be to get 4 Mil by christmas;
and try to break into the top 500 in the world, It's getting a lot tougher to stay ahead of
the crazies out there with their monster machines. I was reading where a guy is getting 21K PPD out of one Quad Box with 3 GTX 280 SSC installed. Now that's just obscene

Damn.

Is he just using the video cards? Or does the quad help any?

With 3X GTX280's you would need a full core dedicated to each card, leaving the other core to keep Windows and such running. I would say that he is just running the video cards, with a single GTX280 putting out a little over 7000PPD.
