I actually just saw that and was going to come here to congratulate you.
So... Congrats!!
I know I was pretty pleased when I first hit the big 1 million.

Just curious: What are you folding with?

Working on that, I initially installed the original single core client on my OC 875k and so I have removed it and will be installing the SMP2 client tonight.

Hey guys, I joined up. It's a very interesting program and I feel I can contribute with my system:

AMD Phenom X4 Deneb (3.4 Ghz version)
8 Gb of RAM
ATI Firepro V5800

I'm currently folding only with the quad core, I set it up to use all four cores but couldn't stand the noise from the CPU fan (the stock one is notoriously loud when CPU is at 100%), so I backed down to 2 cores. How do I also fold with the graphics card? I have a crapload of power there too.

When you install the GPU3 client and you set it up there will be a place to add flags. First try folding without any flags and if your card is not recognized then try using this flag.
Code:
-forcegpu ati_r800
If you use the systray version, go to the advanced tab and in the "Advanced Client Parameters" text box is where you enter the flag exactly as it appears above. Separate any additional flags with a space if you enter anymore.
If you are using the console version then during the initial config, when it says "Additional client parameters []?" enter it then, again separating any additional flags with a space.

You can get the GPU3 client here Folding@home - DownloadWinOther

It looks like in the last 24 hours, our team has gained a 2nd 20,000,000 point folder:

Congrats DSCHIEF!

Can GPU's now be used to fold? Which cards do they apply to?..if so. How about dual GPU cards?

I'm happy to report that I finally got around to tweaking my gaming rig to run F@H without getting too hot. I just finished my first bigadv WU today & cracked 250k points! Unfortunately I will probably have to stop folding for a few months or at least lower my overclock and take a PPD hit once I move back into my non air-conditioned dorm room in August.

According to HFM, I am getting around 30k PPD on my gaming rig (i7 950 @ 4.0Ghz), 6k PPD on the lower end desktop (Pentium Dual Core E2180 @ 3.0Ghz & 9600GSO Overclocked both folding), and 1.5k PPD on my laptop (i3 330m @ 2.13Ghz stock). Of course all of those computers are actually used for other things besides folding so the real numbers will be somewhat lower.

A few PPD thoughts/questions:
1) I read that running higher ram speed will make F@H go faster. Is it worth testing 20x200 or 21x191 to get my memory speed increased? Right now I am at 23x174 and that is 39 hours Prime95 small FFTs stable. I tried upping the ratio from 8 to 10 in BIOS to increase the memory frequency (10 puts it over 1700 and the ram is only rated for 1600) but I can't get the PC to boot unless it is at 8.
2) How much can I loosen the timings/voltage without killing my ram's performance? Right now they are at 1.65V, 9-9-9-27 (manufacturer recommended for 1600mhz).
3) I tried folding with my 4870 but it killed my PPD. Would it improve my overall PPD much if I folded on my CPU & a GTX 460 compared to just my CPU? Based on some googling it looks to me like I would be better off PPD wise to just fold with my CPU unless I get a $300+ GPU to fold with (which won't be happening anytime soon).
4) Also, is there an easy way to prevent my laptop from going to sleep/hibernating while folding is running? (which is only when it is plugged into the wall)

I look forward to consistently contributing to the cause (ambient temperature permitting) alongside the rest of you from now on!
