I've decided to pull one machine off Folding for a while. My laptop can't tolerate the heat any more. Oh well, I added an old PII 233 in May and it still hasn't completed a WU. First WU assigned is a 412 point Gromacs core! 2 months later and it's at 78%!

No sweat, Kareez.
PR, did you set that old thing for Timeless WUs? That way it will get older ones that might compile more quickly on that machine (plus, you won't be in danger of missing any deadlines!). |

Yeah, I set it for timeless but for some reason that's the first WU it was assigned. I need to recheck and see if I messed with the registry. If I added -advmethods, that may have caused it.

Foldin' For PCMech!

I doubt its anything you did, PR, a number of people are shutting down their older rigs because some people set their AMD rigs (2600+ etc) for timeless units because they get more points that way, they endup taking all the units and making the slower rigs get regular units which take forever to run.... some people care more about points then about sicence...

Hey, I just passed 250 WUs and 40000 points. Cool! I had to take a little break because we were out of town and I shut down the comps (good thing, too, we had BAD storms!), but going again now.
I'm only running a Sempron 2800+ and a P4 2.66Ghz. I have an Athlon 2600+, a P2, and a P3 I need to get folding. |

Well done, catacon. Congrats also to a couple of other major milestones:
Mystery_Folder (PR) has passed 600,000 points, flanzig1 has hit 400,000 points, and JonDee has joined the Six-Digit Club at 100,000 points! Thanks everyone for the continued support. |

*GASP!*
Just peeked at the stats update and noticed that flanzig1 has out-pointed Mystery_Folder in 24-hour average. Granted, it's by only one point, but still... Jimmyrules712 has joined them in the 1.2k+ level in 24-hour production. Nice! |

Hadn't been on the computer all day (working on the basement remodel) and when I checked EM3, 3 machines had WU's stuck in q's. Rebooting got em all sorted. Regardless, flanzig1 and Jimmyrules12 deserve a nod. Good job guys!

6 Pentium D 820's and 2 Pentium4 2.4C's. The P4's and the PD's are each running 2 installations of F@H (thanks to hyperthreading/ dual cores.
Not all of them run all night though, some get shut off, and I think last night a power fluctuation shut them all off. FYI, I noticed flanzig has 1 computer folding under no team name, so he has points going to team 0 see HERE Last edited by jimmyrules712; 08-09-2006 at 09:34 AM. |

Yup, kinda fun swappin the lead back and forth. The good news is how your big numbers have jumped the team up! We moved back up a spot and looks like we'll have another in a few days. Good job, Jimmy.

Well I saw how the team was dropping and decided that couldn't happen. Now if we could just get our active membership up..
and you can thank yourself, if I didn't have such a high goal (producing as much or more than you) I probably wouldn't be producing as much as I am. So in effect, you have increased the amount of points the team is getting from me. Last edited by jimmyrules712; 08-18-2006 at 12:11 AM. |

Well, I should be firing up my new Athlon X2 sometime next week. I have plans to take a hardrive and have the ram from my P4 system and slap a Pentium D machine together sometime int he next few months. Nothing for sure on that though.

Congrats to those that have passed me up. I'm going to start up a few more machines, now, since I've been just over idle for the past year. Thanks to a good guy at my old job, I've still got a handful of machines folding for me there, but haven't started up anything new until today.
