Folding@Home - Milestones & Recognition

This thread is dedicated for users to post folding milestones, rankings, significant accomplishments, and congratulations in relation to our folding team and its members.

Now, since there is the opportunity for post padding here, we will be setting some guidelines:

Acceptable recognitions posted by anyone are:
-1,000pts, 5,000pts, 10,000pts, and every additional 10,000pts after that
-A change in the ranking of our folding team
-A change in the ranking of our top 10 folders
-The completion of a first WU from a new folder

Acceptable recognitions posted by/about yourself are:
-Any of the abovementioned items
-A positive change in your team rank

The general forum rules still apply here, so no flaming or bashing others because of reduced rank or production. Instead, ask yourself how you can contribute more to make up for it.

Congratulations to all and Happy Folding!

Kov-Ice 06-08-2005 01:57 AM

Also, keep in mind the real reason for even doing a thread like this - to promote the Folding@Home program in general. If we can all take turns keeping this thread updated, then hopefully more people here at PCM will become aware of and interested in this research project.

Without further ado, congrats to:
  • DarkHorse - 50,000
  • csp - 30,000
  • nubbler - 20,000
  • darkside_aka_nm - 1,000
DarkHorse is soon to be joining the Top 20 PCM Folders - Look out, bigandy! Thanks to all of you for your contributions!

The PCMech Folding@Home team has reached the Five Million Point Mark! Awesome!! That's alot of donated processing power for a great cause. Join in if you haven't already!

Also, netnamakan has hit 40,000 and colecifer 30,000. Thanks both of you for your continued support!

bigandy 06-17-2005 10:01 PM

Wow, congratulations on 5,000,000 points and thank you to everyone who has contributed to the project!

bigandy 06-23-2005 01:24 PM

Congrats to Wolfpac_Ite for joining the 100,000 point club and to Vigo for reaching 50,000 points.

Kov-Ice 06-24-2005 12:13 AM

Noticed Wolfpac_Ite is slowly closing in on wolfie's 11th place position (about 900 pts away). There's a battle to watch in the near future. Which of you can recruit the most friends/family members in the next few weeks to add to your ID? :)

Stryker 06-27-2005 04:46 AM

Congrats to ahzwald for reaching 5 digits at 10,000 and to greg20 for breaking 60,000. Thanks for the contributions guys! :D

Stryker :)

Stryker 06-28-2005 06:27 AM

Another user moving up the perverbial ladder... congrats to Sycoe for reaching 5,000 points. Thanks!

Also, I think it deserves special mention that mrn8 (our pcmech.com team points leader) finished off the day yesterday with a total of 6 WU's, which resulted in a tally for ONE DAY of 2,397 points! Now that's some serious folding!!!! :D

Stryker 07-02-2005 12:06 PM

Lots of stuff going on...

Kov-Ice 07-02-2005 11:58 PM

Add flanzig1 to that list at 80,000 points total. Also, to back up what Stryker mentioned, check out our Trend Line on the EOC stats page. Let's keep that up!

edit: So I post the link, check back, and it happens to be just after the midnight update. So we bottomed out a little there... But the overall trend has been up for the last 8 or 9 days. Let's focus on that!

Congratulations to Ewan_Coldicott on passing the 5,000 Pointa on his Folding@Home. Keep up the good work. We could use more folders from our team. If you aren't folding, you should try to help our team and help to find some cures for these diseases. We could really use some help. Thanks to all the people who are folding. Keep up the good work.
