Cool. It's true, we only use gaming systems for a fraction of a day (or most people do), so why not let them work for science when we're not using them.

a friend of mine showed me an article awhile back that compared a topend PC, the PS3 and XBox. it said something like the topend PC had 2 Gigaflops, the xbox had 180 and the PS3 had 220 or something like that. i'm not sure if those are the right numbers because i have no idea where that article was from or anything but i do know that both the xbox and ps3 had much much more than the computer.

its crazy how powerful those machines are!

Consoles are (in the grand scheme of things) an untouched resource for folding. Which is unfortunate because of their power. Hopefully articles like that will help raise awareness and more people will use their consoles to fold. The unfortunate thing is that I doubt the majority of gamers spend lots of time reading news sites, so this message may go unnoticed. But hopefully there are enough who do, and who can spread the word to other gamers.
