I did a WU on my 4800+ DC and it took a LONG TIME 5000 frames, 1 minute per frame (on a top notch cpu) and it only gave me 300 points... doesnt seem like a whole ton for one that took me that long.

Excuse my tardiness, but I've been away. Congrats and welcome, Iniamyen.

Having a CPU like that is going to land you some of the beefier WUs. But like you said, it only took one minute a frame. If I got a WU like that, I probably wouldn't finish it by the deadline for that individual project. You will notice that sometimes the points given for certain WUs seem a little screwy, but it seems to balance out in the end. Don't worry too much about the points, and just think hey, I'm contributing something to science by doing this.

i agree, i run EMIII to monitor all my machines but i don;t watch the points or anything, EMIII is mainly there to tell me if there is a problem somewhere not to watch the points.
