Running as service

OK, just switched to the text-only version of F@H. Now from what I've read, you can run F@H as a service. Would this eliminate the need to keep the console/command prompt up? (ie, running the FAH-Console directly) If so, how would I check on the progress of the work unit?

I guess more importantly, how do I set it up as a service?

Thanks,
blue60007

To set it up as a service you select yes to the service option when you config it. when its running as a service there is no window or icons, the only way to see if its running is task manager. To monitor it you can view the logfile or download different 3rd party fah monitors such as EMIII.
