Folding issue
I'm sure someone has had this before and knows the quick solution. One of my pc's has been "attempting to get work packet" all afternoon today. I've shut down and restarted Folding and I've restarted the pc. Still not working. The internet connection is solid and I can connect to the Folding site ok.

Check the log file for the server IP then check the servers status
Looks like a few servers are down It's best to just let it be, once the server goes back online it should upload. Just won't be working on one til it does.

It took a full day for this problem to resolve itself. The log file showed a continuous effort to connect to one particular server.

Last year I had some go all through the holiday break that way until the servers were rebooted. Sad you can't change the server or have an alternative server to attempt the upload after a few hours with no connection to the default server.
If you stop and restart the client you end up just increasing the load on the server. |
