FAH console question

Hey guys,

I started using the console version as I read it will work quicker than the gui. the thing i liked about the gui was the menus that let you pause after the WU was done and those different options. I am also using EMIII. Is there a way I can pause or access more functions in the cosole mode?

Do you have it setup as a service?

no i don't think so. It is running like an application I believe, meaning it is in my bottom windows toolbar as a window i can maximize and minimize so I think that means it's not installed as a service. I was a little confused as to how I set it up but when I opened the console the first time it knew all my settings (name and team and whatnot), I guess it got them from the gui client?

If you want to be able to check your settings:

Make a shortcut of the executable, then right click the shortcut and choose properties. In the properties box, put "-config" in the target line (without the quotes). Then, when you want to check your settings, close the client, and run the config shortcut. You can check and change any of the settings from there.

I suggest running it as a service, but if you want to keep just running the client, then do that as well.

Once you have it running as a service, if you choose to do so, you can create a batch file to start and stop the client whenever you see fit. Personally I run it 24/7 even while gaming. In the rare times that I need it shutdown I goto services managment and shut it down that way.
