Nope, it will pick up right where you leave off. Just make sure you do a proper shut down, not a pull the plug type!! hehe

bummer, i love ripping the plug out of the back of my psu! lol might as well throw another quick question here...im stripping this PC down when my new ones done, gunna take as much stuff off the HDD as i can then ghost onto a smaller hdd. also have no opticals, floppy, etc (though im gunna take some from an old PC), no sound card, etc...will stilll have a good vid card, go figure..so once i get that all done, i may plug this in in my basement to run F@H, whats the most efficient way to do this? should i wipe the HDD and install linux, or just leave it how it is? just want it to pump out as many WUs as possible...

haha btw i think i just found out what panama red is...watched the movie "apocalypse now" for a school assignment...

As far as Linux vs windows, some say linux is faster and some say windows is. I personally have not done any testing to findout myself. I would probably do a fresh install of which ever OS is easier for you to use and then remove as much junk from it as you can (i.e windows xp services) so more time is spent folding. Also as you mentioned, remove any and all extra hardware (i.e drives, PCI cards, etc) so it will be cooler and use less electric.

Happy Folding!
