75th place, 250 CPUs active recently

(In a second I am going to feel like a retard because I will be told why no one actually posts in this thread.)

Hey all, I just got the software, looks interesting. I read a lot of the FAQs, and I think I have a good understanding of how it all works, the concept of Folding@Home. Very interesting. Cooler than that, I have joined the PCmech team, and I see that the team is ranked 75! That's not too bad, judging by the number of teams there are. Anyways, I will try to leave this software going at nights when I plug in the laptop, but during the day when I am out and about I will probably keep it off to save battery power. I should probably put it on my desktop so I don't shorten the life of this laptop.

Anyways, excellent job to all the people involved in this, it looks like a great concept and the team is doing great.

Hey, welcome to the team! We are gonna need all the folding power we can get because its been about 3 weeks since school started here and I havnt seen my production jump up any... I'm thinkin the school systems are no longer folding for us.

I did notice that Stanford is getting ready to release a GPU client for beta testing in a week or so. I'm currently building a new system which will be running a 4800+ x2 and 2 ati x1950xt's in crossfire.... that should give me somewhat of a boost.

Happy Folding all!

Moved to my apartment nearer to university, but the bulk of the computing power is still back at home... my parents like to turn computers off, and last time I went home, everything was off

But it's back up now, hopefully for awhile
