Folding gets a boost

Scientific research such as Folding@Home benefits from ATI’s Stream Computing by being able to process larger data sets faster—processing three years worth of disease research in a single month.
Pretty awesome if you ask me.

o yeah, I cant wait till the new GPU client is released. I just ordered an ATI x1900GT to go along with my new AMD 4800+ X2 system. (got 90% of the parts, just need to put it together) Also the Sony PS3 will be able to fold on its Cell processor which is said to give folding a major boost as well.

can't wait!

I'll probably get back into it once my shipment arrives (should be this or next week)... I help out for a bit awhile ago, but I didn't like the feeling of having my PC running all day when I'm not around.

Not really, Rev. These new high powered Vid cards are PCI-e which you won't have in that unit and they'll require a BIG power supply. You can only dream!
