Thumbs up Recognition of a Milestone

It has finally happened... We have a new Folding@Home points leader!!!

I feel like this is a little more deserving than being buried in the main Milestone thread...

So Congrats to Mystery_Folder (a.k.a. Panama Red) for overtaking enhanced08dotcom (Eric) for the top spot on the PCMech F@H Team! I think Eric stormed to the top a couple years ago, and has held it ever since. Both of you guys are awesome - Way To Fold!

Top achievement PR! The rest of us can only aspire to your ppd (and, of course, being allowed that many machines in the house / garage!! )

Thanx guys. Appreciate the nod. My ppd has dropped some lately. I sold a P3-866 machine last week and one of my loaners, a P4 1.4, is off line until the user has Comcast install cable in her new trailer. My 2.6 Celeron laptop will also be removed later this week. I sold it and replaced it with a new Dell C2D Inspiron E1505. Have to see what the difference is in wu production with the C2D.

Here's a thought. If running all these machines increases my electrical consumption and I can document the increase, I wonder if I can claim the increased amount as a tax deduction - donation to science! Hmmm.

The tax idea has been brought up at the folding community forums before, and while it is a donation to science It cant be written off, IIRC.

Oh well, guess the "registered charity" removes the possibility. Thanx Eric.

Well done Mr Red you are a legend amongst folders.

Claim the space where your computers are as a home office and then you can write off the percentage of your home office against your utilities.

For example if your house is 1,000 sq ft and your home office is 100 sq ft, you can write off 10% of all your utilities (gas, electric, water, garbage, internet, etc.).
