log files are getting Long, with results from multiple WU's. will I mess up any thing If I delete the log file and force F@H to start a new on with each new WU

I don't think it would hurt the WU, but there's no real need to delete the text file. It's probably only 20-30 KB in size. I wouldn't think your longest would ever reach 100 KB, which really is just a tiny fraction of your HDD space, I'd imagine.
F@H actually keeps two log files for each client, the current and the previous. They can be handy for trouble-shooting in case anything ever crops up.

The folding program will automatically move data from FAHlog.txt to FAHlog-Prev.txt once it get to something like 40kb in size. I also think that after the FAHlog-Prev.txt file gets soo big it gets deleted as well. On this system the prev log file only dates back to December 13 2006, and I know I have never deleted the logs and this system has been folding much longer than that.
