console shows the wrong time

Hi to all you folders. I am running the console version of F@H and since the time change it is showing the wrong time. It doesn't really affect me ,but I was wondering why it is happening. Can anyone shed any light on this?

Thanks In Advance

Ray

Greenich Mean Time doesn't observe US daylight savings time I believe.

That's correct. GMT goes between 5 and 6 hours ahead of EST.

I am on British Summer Time, but where does the console take it's time from? I had assumed it would be from the computer and so should have moved to BST. That is what is confusing me.

The motherboard clock counts the number of milliseconds since midnight, Jan 1 1970, GMT. When your computer moves to BST, windows just looks at the number of milliseconds and converts them to a different hour. I'd guess FaH is either reading the bios clock, or gets its time information from Stanford's server.

i think i remember reading somewhere that the sonsole gets its time from Stanfords servers. i have mine running as a service so i never even see the times unless i'm looking at the logfile.
