Foldin' For PCMech!
|
i've been trying to get it running right on my 4800 x2 but so far have yet to finish a unit. at first i kept getting an error and ended up having some problem with .Net 2.0, after getting that figured out the work unit servers went down/ran out of work so it sat idle for awhlie. Now one of 2 things keep happening (for the past 3-4 days) either folding kills my i net or it just stops doing anything.
i've having trouble really believing that folding is causing my inet to go down but it only seems to die when i have folding running.... i need to look into this further but i think there is another problem somewhere. as far as it just... not doing anything, i dont know whats up there. the console window is open but task manager says folding isnt using any cpu... i deleted and reinstalled the client and so far (for the 20-30 frames completed) its been running fine but we shall see... i was at a lan party all weekend and my computer is still in my truck so i havnt had a chance to mess with it this weekend.
