Problems with new client

So I downloaded the new client they have out.

Windows 6.22 beta2 -smp

I'm using Vista 64, and I got it installed, and it started to run, and then crashed. Can't get it running again. Haven't tried to restart the computer, but I'm wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience?

Glad to see that your on-line, I was just comeing here for help my self.
I fired up my first windows client in over a year & 1/2.
Everything was so simple under Linux

How do you start up with the -SMP flag.

the auto-mated setup would let me put in -verbosity 9, but would not take -SMP

Just installed vista home Premium last night, Now that was a Nightmare

All I did was set up a shortcut to the Folding@Home exe file.

Then right click, and go to properties. At the end of the target line, I added the -smp.

It seemed a lot easier before this new client though. I just lost all the work I did yesterday, and can't get it started again.

I might not be using this computer till they fix whatever is wrong.

You probably already figured this out, but here's how to do a new install.

I just reinstalled Windows on my E4400 and had to go through the install again. The instructions on the FAH website do not work.

That looks like it will solve the problems.

As for my problem, I just waited like 2 days, and then tried to strt it up again, and it's been running fine ever since.

I'll probably doing a reinstall soon though, so i'll keep your link in mind.

Thanks.
