what's new on the folding front

Well for starters, I finally got the hang of running the GPU client under linux via Wine.
hence the ramp up in points. It took some gnashing of teeth & considerable swearing
on my part. Rolled all my fedora 11 & 12 boxes back to F10, to get a stabile
Kernel & Libc combination { 2.6.27.41-170.2.117 } Which allowed my to Add
GPU's to all my SMP boxes. This week I converted a Windows XP box
that has a E6400 dual core which only had the Gpu client, since SMP sucks on 2 cores
with windows. A1 wu's "yuck" It's now on F10, with some creative editing
of the xorg.conf file, adding a second "Device" section including "BusID xx:xx:x"
getting the PCI Bus Adx for each video board with lspci function call.

The E6400 is now up running twin 9800GTX+ & the 6.29 SMP client crunching A3
wu's getting 13,000+ PPD not bad for a C2D.

The good news is, I have 5 open PCIE slots I can fill up

Your numbers are higher than mine chief even though I think I am running more video cards and cpus than you, I will try and find time to experiment with running the GPU client on Linux. what % boost are you getting over windows?

I don't believe the boost is from the GPU's . Running the 6.29 SMP client under linux
with a passkey. You can get some hellacious bonuses with the A3 wu's
my Q9550 routinely finishes wu's with 90 to 92% time remaining = big points

The GPU's are running under Wine so native windows should be faster.
Have a P5770 R14 Cl 139 Gen 1273 on a GTX275, doing 1 frame evey 37 sec.
If you catch a 5770 you can compare frame rates

As far as hardware, I do'nt know what your exact roster is.

this is what I have online: everything is stock , no O.C.

E6400 winXP-Pro 1 GTX275

the rest Fedora10 {2.6.27.41-170.2.117 }
Q9550 1 GTX275 + SMP 6.29
Q6600 2 9800GTX+ + SMP
Q6600 1 9800GTX+ +SMP
E6400 2 9800GTX+ +SMP
E6400 1 9800GTX+ + SMP

I am running 2 x GTX275s and 7 x GTS250s with 5 AMD tri-cores. I had 2 9800GTs running but I took them off line last week.

Khalil, you have quite the impressive farm there! Ive fallen away from pcmech and folding in general the past few years, but I would like to get back into it. No way will I ever be able to get my #1 spot on the team back, but every little bit helps.

Hi Eric, I have been extremely busy, 2 of my folding machines went down last week and have not had time to bring them back up but I am doing it today.
Good to see you back here!

I haven't checked the folding stats in a while. Surprised to see things the way they are.

It looks like my computer back home has been down for a while, so I'm going to try and get it back up and running from here.

Unfortunately, I had to take my server here offline for a bit, so that will drop my ppd down.
