Impressive indeed. I actually just started folding on two machines yesterday now that the weather is starting to cool down.

One thing I like about F@H is that there have actually been real results from all the number crunching unlike some other @H projects. While no cures, the F@H project has defiantly been a great help in researching various diseases and has been a big part in the development of some of the drugs and methods used to treat some diseases.

Some of the results are listed here.

It's good to know that the billions of processing hours has produced actual positive results.

Too bad the computers that are doing SETI@home are not put to work doing FAH. Even if we do one day hear evidence of life millions or billions of light-years out there, what good does that do us here?

I can't imagine how slow it must have been 10 years ago. Technology and specially the ability to use GPU must have made a huge difference in finishing folding projects.
