Wink

I sent you an Email, but most of the time I can't send email to mindspring. They usally block email from the server that I am on. So I am posting it here for you to see just in case.

I am glad to see that you returned to our growing seti group. If you didn't see the post I made after you left. Their is no hard feeling if you past me up. Sure I am the group founder, but how good would I be if I was afriad of someone getting ahead of me....My goal is to help this group grow the best it can.

Glad to be back. Looks as though you have done a fair bit of work to encourage membership. Many of these folks are churning out a lot of work units, but the important thing is being a part of the PC Mech team.

Most of my machines are idling right now, but will get more of them busy crunching soon.
I'm still running V2.04. Did you come to any conclusions about the newer versions running more efficiently? I run strictly Intel p2 and p3 if that makes a diffirence.
I have no idea why mindspring would block you, but try wrenchwhiz@hotmail if all else fails. I don't ck that account often though.
Thanks for the welcome byte, and hello to the rest of the team.
Phil

If you or anyone else want to try verison 2.7 here is the link.

http://www.computerbash.com/hiddenfiles

It runs different on all machine...I mostly run amd's

it is an Improvement on the K6-2 machines that I use, but it mostly takes longer on my K6-3 machine...a real surprize...However with the right work unit my k6-3 will blow them by in about 11 hours, but usally 27 hours...but with version 2.04 my K6-3 is almost always 16 hours...
But it is almost about 3 to 4 hours faster on everything else....
Looks good on Intell p2/233 and p2/300....both with 64 meg of ram....

So try it on one of your machines and see....

That is odd byte. My K6-3 450 is spitting them out in about 9-10 hours with version 2.07. I'm running 128 megs of CAS2 memory and not overclocking or anything. AOpen AX59Pro mobo...

I don't know why mine runs them so slow. I had to drop back to verison 2.04 just to keep this machine in the running. I am not going to run them 27 hours on this machine since it is only on about 5 hours a day and I play some ever Quest on it...

I even unoverclock it...256 meg pc-100 ram....K6-3/450
Everything runs great except the 2.7 verison of seti. It is odd....
