Have You Installed the New 4.0 Console Yet?
This is the guide, as per the folding-community forums, in case anyone needs it...
For Windows Clients: To Install the GUI:
To Install the Console:
To Install the Console over the GUI:
Make sure you don't accidentally start a 3.x client in the same folder as a 4.x client. V4 has a new queue format that V3 cannot read. Following the above steps, you shouldn't lose any WUs, but this is not guaranteed. I changed over both my GUI and Console with no loss of info. Make a backup of your installation folder (including the Work folder) just to be on the safe side.

I installed version of the console on my linux box and it's going really slow for some reason. It went much faster with version 3. Any ideas out there? TIA.

I think I figured it out. I had a 3D screensaver that took most of the cpu cycles. Probably could have fixed it by bumping the priority on F@H, but getting rid of the screensaver worked too.

Thanks for posting this Kov-Ice!
Be sure you uninstall the old version first....I installed the new one without doing so... and I had 2 F@H programs trying to compete for a while. |
