I dunno...my boxes are getting a workout with the 858/859 dimmers and these double gromacs with the new 79 core. Many of them have low point values for the time it takes. On the other hand I am leading as far as total WU's completed for our team.

I guess I could start running 2 instances on my 2.8E, but I'm worried about the high temps it puts off.

A challenge, more competition, a change of pace and the level of team spirit is one other factor.

Speaking of team spirit, I think you guys need to light a fire under your "leader' - he hasn't made a post anywhere on this forum since 2/28/04.

After 6 years of hard work we are finally opening the train for the public on weekends starting May 23.As the Senior Operations Control Center Supervisor I have to train 10 line controllers so they will be up to speed for our official inauguration on Sept. As you can imagine my workload is very high putting 12 hours days 6 times a week.
I am a very private person that doesn't like to post much. but that doesn't mean that that we have no team spirit.Believe Me we are doing all we can for the mech and for the team.

Good point Glc, I'm no longer on this team and yet I see my name on here more than the rest of the PC Mech team members. Train I understand I work 40+ hours a week also but I find time and maybe I need to be on a team that has simular interests with the project.

Well.... I've moved up to 10. Haven't posted on this subject before. So, here. Heck, I've even got my 77 year old mother folding for this team.... and that is true.

trainop, we are certainly glad to have you. Your contribution is awesome.

It is a shame that so many people come and go, but looking at the stats site it is plain to see that active users are often a fraction of the total number of registered members for most teams. Interests wax and wane for this project as with many other things in life. We all wish that n8, Jimmy, et. al. were still folding with us, but we still have a solid and dedicated core of people who continue to take part.

Here's hoping that everyone on our team stays the course and that other PCMech members (both new and old) take interest in this most worthy project. Happy Folding!

Fastfly,
A 2500+ is the best thing I've got going out of the 5. Sounds like mom needs an upgrade from that 800Mhz... Maybe me too..... Spare change anyone?

I've still got 2 machines folding for PCMech. You guys get to keep them, because I have no idea where those machines are.

I've got a 2.4 and 1.8 that will go online in the next 2-3 weeks, I might let them fold for 13761 cause the OS and F@H service is already installed on the HDD's. Besides I need to stay ahead of mrn8 and retain 2nd place in points

I may not be folding for PCMech full-time, but I have tried to pass along help and info when I can.

Well, I found the box that was folding for PCM. I had to shut one down, and my production on 13761 stopped.

I'm currently folding for Team Anandtech, and that's mostly because I have a lot of friends over there, and we're competing. PCM seems to be doing ok, although I minus Jimmie and my boxes it slows things down.

Yes, it does give our team stats a hit, but as long as we don't forget about the reasons that we're all really folding. I'm sorry to see you guys going to different teams, but as long as you keep contributing WU's to the project, you're still good in my book .

Well I'm back!

Ok now I have my five of my fastest boxes folding for PCMech and I still have 5 folding for another team ( all between 1.4 tbird-2.8C) so what I will do is for every new member to join and complete a WU I will change the team number of one of my other systems so it will turn in WU for PCMECH. Or if a current team member can hit the green on the EOC stats page (me and trainop don't count) I will add another PC to the PCMech effort untill the remaining 5 computers are folding for PCMech

Good to have you back Jimmie. I doubt if I'll be able to get into the green, but I will keep trying to recruit new folders.
