p694_L939_wt_ext

p694_L939_wt_ext is the Biggest protein I have yet to complete. Weird thing is both my computers got it at the same time.

One is going to take 40 hours the other 47 hours.

It's worth 236 points but it's not the biggest one I've had. There are some that will take 60 hours to finish.

What has been murder fo me the last few days is the p254_p341_gnra_den which only takes a few hours to finish but are worth only 15 points and it now seems to be pulled from the line-up at Stanford. I got hammered with them.

Fastfly, I just got one of the proteins you mention above on my PIII 500. It takes 35 mins per frame (at 400 frames), so it should only take about 9 days or so (running 24/7) to complete. Yikes.

Kov, I had assumed you were running the gah preference on the PIII but I guess not after getting such a large WU. The gah are supposed to be lower in point value but have an unlimited deadline I just wonder if it would be better for smaller cpu's to use the gah and turn in more smaller WU as opposed to doing less WU with the larger point values and would there be any big difference in points over a long period of time.

i have all my slower cpus, less than 800mhz, running GAH. i figure whats the point in taking years to complete one WU and not get any cerdit for it even tho it does help.

just a thought

Since I'm on dial-up, it's actually less hassle to let it download the big dawgs. It finishes under deadline no problem, I just don't have to mess with making sure it sent the results as often this way. Dunno if it would make a difference point-wise...
