wayCooL game
PAINKILLER!!!!!
I hardly get excited over a game anymore, but this game is a lot of fun. Its a 1st person shooter, with lots of action. But what is real good about it is that therte is enough side stuff going on to keep you interted, like trying to find all the seceret plces and collect all the stuff that is happining while you are playing. There are a couple demos that will give you a good feel for it. http://www.painkillergame.com/index2.php and if u get it, here will help with the secerets, they are hard to find http://www.painkillerhell.com/ i havnt tried the multi play yet. |

Hack and slash gets old after awhile, but the graphics are something to smile about.

Yeah, most games are becoming too alike now, it's getting boring
I must admit that Far Cry spooked me sufficiently to keep it interesting |

i agree
yea, i agree, games have gotten way to "safe", they find a format that works, and if it sells they just keep making the same, one after another.
They seem afraid to take risks on new types of gaming. I guess it all comes down to money. I normally stick to Ghost Recon//Raven Shiels typ games, but for whatever reason this one has me addicted! Something about shooting a 4 ft stake into something I guess. |

I'm just about finshed with the game- its much better than average- sort of a cross between Quake and Serious Sam. The AI is like Serious Sam's in that monster generally just run straight at you- but given that there are plenty of monsters- this is as it should be. It's not as over the top or nearly as difficult as the Serious Sam games, however.
The one thing I dislike about this game and other games that do the samething, are the boss levels where killing the boss requires you to figure out some 'trick' to kill the boss- similar to the 'trick' that was required to kill the final boss in the first Serious Sam. For instance, one boss is apparently invulnerable, so you have to shoot a hole in the ceiling to let light in that kills the boss. I wasted, and I assume that others do to, much time trying to figure out which gun and how many shots it would take to kill the boss, before stumbling onto the solution. BTW- the Painkillerhell.com site, as mentioned before, is awesome- instead of text walkthoughs, the site uses screenshots and actual videos to show you where the secrets are. Painkiller is supreme awesome if you want a mindless gorefest that includes guns that shoot Chinese stars and pinning zombies to the wall with a stake gun. You cant beat the physics either.
I especially love the "Demon mode" where everything is slow-mo and you can just bloweverything to bits. |

Finally finished iit- must admit, started getting bored with it in the last chapter- just seemed to be repetitive.
