benchmark software listing what on a system

Hi

My brother and his housemates have 2 machines. They want to speed them up and are thinking of throwing more RAM at it. I told them to hold on and tell me what their current setup is. The did not know.

Is there a simple piece of software they could use that checks and lists the specs of the machine?

Thanks
Haggis

I would suggest Belarc Advisor. It will give you pretty much every detail about your system. You can check it out at http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html

I would also recommend Fresh UI, it's free to download after registering it.

The most popular system info tool here on the forums by far is everest. It is extremely useful and I'd be willing to bet that its on the PCs of most of the regular members here.

Hope that helps

Everest is the new version of what used to be called AIDA32. Its essentially exactly the same thing.
