I went to a friends to install Madden 2000 (not 2001)
for our league on his machine and after installing it the monitor went funny when trying to play the game. The screen jumps around when you try to play the game. Now he has Links 2000, and NHL 2001 that work fine. Is it the video card or Monitor?

PIII 850
direct x 8
128 meg ram
Erazor TNT2 32meg Video card(rev A)

Everything else works but this game, is it that he needs updated drivers?
He also fails direct draw tests in the direct X diagnostics.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Yes it would sound like he needs to update his video card drivers. The Detonator 3 drivers on NVidia's website make Elsa's cards perform much better than the slow-to-progress Elsa drivers. Elsa makes very solid cards... but their driver revisions leave alot to be desired.
