I played it- it's a better than average FPS- not as good as Farcry, Call of Duty, Freedom Fighters, or Halo (but better than Painkiller)- but still fun. I'd put it on about the same level as the Red Faction games. I suggest you play the other listed games first- play Chaser if nothing else to do.

Yes, halo is primarily SP. It has a MP component, but it's not that great, IMHO.
Halo is best played with a radeon card, for nVidia cards don't render several parts of the game quite right.

I hated HALO SP.... you'd complete a task, and then have to retrace your steps the whole way back
Such a waste of time |

FYIalso- Halo for PC doesn't have a cooperative mode, as does Halo for PS2.

The only thing I found good about Halo MP is blowing your friends or anbody else fifty feet into the air with a rocket launcher. SP for the game is great, all the levels are really large and well put together. Also after you beat it the first time it's always fun to play through on a harder level.
