Splinter Cell driving me crazy!

I have been playing Splinter Cell on the Xbox for months now. I have been stuck in the same place for WEEKS! It has been driving me absolutly nuts! I'm at the Abattoir level where I have to destroy the antenna broadcast ability. I'm at the second courtyard which is full of land mines. There are two spotlights scanning the courtyard. I have a walkthrough which has helped me a few times before but not this time. It says to shoot the land mines but when I try that it doesn't work. If anyone here is familiar with this level could you please help me? I am so frustrated.

Well I figured it out. I found another tip on Gamespot and it got me through it. Now I have noticed something else. This game is based in 2004 in the same part of the world where everything is happening, the middle east. The plot is based around terrorists and I was just listening to them talking about broadcasting an execution over the internet. Doesn't this seem strangely in line with recent events?

That is not what I intended. All I said was that the game is strangely similar to recent events.

Indeed it will... lets not generalise about other people, because we'd not like it if they did it to us (as no doubt happens). This is a place to give and receive computer help, not vilify segments of an international community.

Hi Ho, it is crazy that reality has followed this game, but maybe that's more a reflection of what was bound to happen, and it's a sad indictment of our world. I can only hope there's some secret agent with amazing flexibility and ability (as well as unlimited quicksaves) to rescue the world from madmen, whomever and wherever they might be (ahhhh, non-derogatory to the max)
Peace

Hey guys, let's not make this political.

I won't close it, but let's stop the political talk.
