Racing games

I'm looking for a good PC racing game, or simulation. I'm looking for a game that is realistic as possible such as Gran Turismo. Any recomendation will be thankful. Thank you.

It's a little older, but Power Slide was (is) a blast!

NFSU is a good game, but the races become redundant, as you get towards the end they are just the same tracks with 7 laps instead of 5 instead of 3 and so on.... I don't really know what would be a better one however....

Thanks for the replies. Is NFSU realistic?(like the driving physics, etc.)

NFS Porsche Unleashed. NFS 4: High Stakes.

If you want the latest, I just saw a preview for "GTR: The Ultimate Raacing Game" in the August PcGamer. Awesome graphics with realistic handling with photorealistic cars and tracks. Comes out in late summer '04.

For simulation games, though, I don't think the NFS series is where it's at. They are more arcade.

While not really good, and not realistic at all, 'Big Red Racing' was a great game for its time...

How about those superbike motorcycle games from EA? Adjustable realism, good graphics, probably dirt cheap now too.

I'd go with Greedo here... anything by EA should do the realism trick. NFSU is good, pretty good graphics but not ultra realistic necessarily. Reasonably good though.
I loved NFS Porsche Challenge, don't have to be a Porsche lover to enjoy that.
Also, have you guys heard of Colin McCrae Rally?? That's good for realism if you don't want road race type games

Rallisport Challenge is an excellent and realistic game. Rallisport Challenge 2 is even better, much better, possibly the best racing game I have ever played but it is only on Xbox. The Need For Speed games are arcade style games and therefore not completely realistic. Underground and Porche Unleashed are as realistic as the NFS series gets.

Driver 3 was a big dissapointment. They really made a mistake with that game.
