Just for laughs

I installed Tomb Raider: Angel of Darkness today, just for laughs...it came free with my video card. I have to say that was the worst game I have ever played in my entire life. I don't even know if it could get worse than that. The control was terrible, and I mean terrible, I can't even explain it....I uninstalled it after about 2 minutes of play.

Yeah, I got that game for my Playstation2 a long time ago and yes, I agree, it was pretty horrible. Glitches where walls wouldn't come together evenly, choppy video, terrible camera angles for guiding Laura around....it definitely should've had alot more work done before they released it. Heheh, in one place I even found a spot where you could have Laura standing on a scaffolding type thing about 20 feet above the floor, walk to the edge and she would just walk off and end up on the floor below, unscathed, unhurt, no "falling" action....just looked like she took an invisible elevator down to the floor. Then when you wanted to go back up you could just walk up to the side of the scaffolding and voila, Laura gets lifted back up to the top of it again!

Yep, got both games as promos with hardware. All I can say is UGH. Did the designers even *try* to play them before release?

Tomb Raider, ahh. I wonder what do the people at Eidos need to know in order to understand that Lara has become a thing of the past. When the first one came out it was superb. The second one, was fun but not as good as the first one. The third one... I didn't even finish it. It bored me.

According to PC GAMER, the ratings show the decadence of the series:

Tomb Raider - 95%
Tomb Raider 2 - 84%
Tomb Raider 3 - 54%

The numbers may be wrong by units (I don't have my issues with me, hence the inaccuracy).

I remember reading a preview article of Tomb Raider 2 where the designers were saying that they were not gonna get on the sequel-after-sequel bandwagon, and look what they just did.

Haha...that's funny...I think the programmes didn't want to do the sequels, but the publisher forced them, so they made the crapiest game they could.

The first tomb raider was one of the greatest console games ever at that point in time. Everything that followed was trash, they knew people would buy the sequels because of the first game so they didnt even put effort in to it.

It's not programming what is bad, it's design!

I'm sure glad it's not just me. Besides ridiculous controls, if you stop to look around for just a moment, you get weak, collapse, and die -- don't need any enemies!

Not a bad price...I wonder how many people bought it because it was only $5, I bet the publisher is laughing because peopel are buying it to see how bad it is.

Don't get it unless someone gives it to you for free, and even then, don't spend too much time on it.

Heh, when I first got it, I thought I was lagging horribly. Turns out the game control is severely delayed. After 5 minutes, enough was enough. I tossed it in my CDs-never-destined-to-see-the-light-of-day-again pile.

No, and I'm grateful I don't (read my comments above). I had the previous one, Last Revelation I think it's called, as it came in a 4-game pack. The ducky thing didn't even want to run.
