Underground has one annoying feature

and that is the traffic. I may only be at about mission 35 now but I have come to realize that traffic can be a pain, especially when you are about to win and a hug box truck pulls out in front of you. Sorry, had to vent.

But, for those that haven't played, I still recommend the game. Good looking game and traffic isn't too bad, except on a few tracks where they have it set on heavy.

Yeah, I got the game and it runs great on my system. It's awesome with the settings all blown out on full too it looks great. The only problem I find is the lag online, I don't know if it's my connection or what but it shouldn't be because I'm on a cable broadband, it might just be people playing it on some dial ups for some reason but I don't know. Other than that the game is sooooooo fun especially with the blurring effect.

It looks good even on low settings with my ti4200.

Two things I found out while playing is that Supras are fast and that the tunnels in the game have no collision detection on their ceilings. I've crashed and flown through the top of them before. Actually, if they had a contest for who can get the highest off the ground, I think I would have won. I've been pretty high in that game, lol, and it's all b/c of traffic!

I know what you mean with the no collision detection because on that one drag course with the little jump at the end if you hit that just right like while turning I flew through the bridge, and the first time I played it I hit it with one wheel and did a perfect barrel roll.

Really? I'd say that card should run the game on more than low settings. I can run the demo on my PC with all the settings maxxed out.

Yeah, but remember Hi Ho, you have a "magic" card. I don't know why your card can run most games with max graphics, but mine can't. It slows down when I run my car through water... but as far as the jaggies go, I'm usually going too fast to notice them

Also remember that Demos are "dumded down" so more computers can play them.

You will still get some lag regardless of what internet connection you are; you will get more lag with 56K than you would get with a broadband connection.

Just curious but what do you guys use to play underground? Mouse and keyboard or a controller or a steering wheel?

I play racing games with a Sidewinder ForceFeedback wheel or I play them on my Xbox.

For my racing games I got a usb nYko air-flo. It's sweet with the fans just like the air-flo mouse.

Has anyone beaten the single player? On what difficulty? I've gotten through 80 on medium but it's getting pretty hard now.

Oh yeah I beat it on medium. It's pretty easy. Then my second time through, I got stuck on one level on medium so I did that one on easy.

I finished it on hard... only race I found a challenge was the last one
I hate 4-6 lap races, such a waste of time, and if a car pops out at the last second you get hammered.
I use keyboard, btw

Yeah I ended up beating it on medium except for 2 races, which were on easy. Keyboard for it all.
